Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Base

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs and 1/3 cup sugar.

Step 2: Add Butter and Press

  1. Pour in the 1/3 cup melted butter and mix with a fork until all the crumbs are evenly moistened.
  2. Reserve 1/4 cup of the crumb mixture to use as a topping for your pie, if desired.
  3. Press the remaining crumb mixture firmly and evenly onto the bottom and up the sides of an 8-inch pie plate until compact.

Step 3: Chill

  1. Chill the crust in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until firm and set, before filling.
