Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Components

  1. Bake your favorite 1 recipe three-layer chocolate cake and allow the layers to cool completely. Prepare your sweetened whipped cream by beating heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

Step 2: Assemble Layer 1

  1. Place the bottom chocolate cake layer on your serving plate. Peel and arrange the 3-4 bananas on top, leaving a little space between them.
  2. Cover the bananas and the entire first chocolate cake layer with a generous amount of whipped cream until smooth and covered.

Step 3: Assemble Layer 2 and 3

  1. Carefully place the second chocolate cake layer on top. Cover this layer with just whipped cream.
  2. Place the third and final chocolate cake layer on top. Frost the entire chocolate cake—top and sides—with the remaining whipped cream until evenly coated.

Step 4: Garnish and Chill

  1. Decorate the top with shaved chocolate, if desired. Keep refrigerated until chilled and ready to serve.
