Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Base
- Finely crush the 1 (15 oz) pkg vanilla wafers using a food processor or by placing them in a bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Finely chop the 1 pound walnuts or pecans.
Step 2: Mix, Shape, and Coat
- In a large bowl, combine the finely crushed vanilla wafers, chopped walnuts or pecans, 1/2 cup honey, 1/3 cup brandy, and 1/3 cup light rum.
- Mix well with a sturdy spoon or your hands until a sticky, firm dough forms.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat them completely until sparkling and fully covered.
- Wrap the balls individually in wax paper or store them in airtight containers.
