Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base

  1. Finely crush the 1 (15 oz) pkg vanilla wafers using a food processor or by placing them in a bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Finely chop the 1 pound walnuts or pecans.

Step 2: Mix, Shape, and Coat

  1. In a large bowl, combine the finely crushed vanilla wafers, chopped walnuts or pecans, 1/2 cup honey, 1/3 cup brandy, and 1/3 cup light rum.
  2. Mix well with a sturdy spoon or your hands until a sticky, firm dough forms.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  4. Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat them completely until sparkling and fully covered.
  5. Wrap the balls individually in wax paper or store them in airtight containers.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month. The flavor improves significantly after aging for a few days.
