Instructions
Step 1: Batter Preparation
- Combine dry ingredients including 2 cups Bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 t. cinnamon.
- Add remaining ingredients including 1 egg, slightly beaten, 1/4 cup milk, 2 T. oil, 1 cup applesauce, and 1 t. X-tra touch vanilla, and beat well until smooth.
Step 2: Baking and Topping
- Fill cupcake papers 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 12 min. at 350° until golden and set.
- Cool slightly before handling.
- Stir together 1/2 c. sugar and 1 t. cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Dip tops of muffins in 1/4 c. margarine, melted and then roll in the sugar & cinnamon mixture.
💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Store baked puffs in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze without the topping and apply fresh after reheating.
