Instructions

Step 1: Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tsps baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp ground cardamom, and ½ tsp salt.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the 2 eggs. Whisk in the ¼ cup honey and ¼ cup oil, followed by the 1 cup yoghurt (or sour cream) and 1 cup buttermilk.

Step 2: Combine and Cook

  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir just until everything is lightly mixed. A few lumps in the batter are okay.
  2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately ¼ cup for each pancake.
  3. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges are dry, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
