Instructions

Step 1: Making the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix 2 pkgs. dry yeast, 2 c. warm water, and 1 tsp. sugar.
  2. Let stand about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Then add 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp. sugar, approx. 1/2 box raisins, and enough flour to make a stiff dough.

Step 2: Rising and Frying

  1. Let rise to top of bowl until doubled in size.
  2. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through.
