Instructions

Step 1: Combine and Heat

  1. Combine 2 qts apple cider, 1 1/2 qts cranberry juice, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 1/2 tsp whole cloves, 4 3” cinnamon sticks, and 1 lemon slices in a large kettle or stockpot.

Step 2: Simmer and Serve

  1. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil and the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let the cider simmer for 15 to 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld until fragrant.
  3. Use a slotted spoon to remove and discard the spices and cooked lemon slices.
  4. Serve warm in mugs until comforting and piping hot. If desired, float a fresh lemon slice in each cup as a garnish.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Leftover cider can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop.
