Instructions
Step 1: Combine and Dissolve
- In a large pitcher, combine the 1 bottle (750ml) Burgundy wine, 1.5 oz brandy or cognac, juice of 2 oranges, juice of 1 lemon, and 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar.
Step 2: Mix and Chill
- Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is well incorporated. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour until thoroughly chilled and the flavors meld.
Step 3: Garnish and Serve
- Just before serving, add the fresh apple wedges and orange slices to the pitcher. Serve in glasses over ice.
