Instructions

Step 1: Making and Browning Meatballs

  1. Combine 3/4 lb ground beef, 3/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs, 1 1/2 tbsp minced onion, 1/2 tsp horse radish, 3 drops Tabasco sauce, 2 eggs, 3/4 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls.
  3. Brown the meatballs in a skillet, then pour off any excess drippings until browned nicely.

Step 2: Simmering in Sauce

  1. In a separate bowl, mix 3/4 cup catsup, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1 tbsp minced onion, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp dry mustard, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 3 drops Tabasco sauce, and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked meatballs.
  3. Cover the skillet and cook for 10 mins until heated through and bubbling.
  4. Shake the pan gently and serve hot.
