Instructions

Step 1: Mix and Shape

  1. In a large bowl, combine the 1 lb. sauerkraut, 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, 2 Tbsp onion, 2 Tbsp pimiento, 3 Tbsp green bell pepper, 1 hard-boiled egg, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 Tbsp sugar, and 1 jalapeno pepper.
  2. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly distributed and hold together.
  3. Shape the mixture into two equal-sized balls.

Step 2: Ice and Chill

  1. In a separate small bowl, blend the 8 oz cream cheese and 3 Tbsp milk until smooth and spreadable.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the exterior of both cheese balls, coating them like icing.
  3. Cover loosely and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until firm and set before serving.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: This spread can be made up to 2 days in advance. Keep tightly covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve with crackers.
