Instructions
Step 1: Making the Cheese Spread
- Combine equal parts oleo and grated old english cheese in a mixer.
- Beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add tabasco to taste and mix well.
Step 2: Assembly and Freezing
- Trim the crusts from the sliced thin white bread.
- Spread the cheese mixture on the bread slices and stack them 3 high.
- Cut each stack into 9 squares.
- Frost each square completely on all sides with the remaining cheese mixture and place in the freezer until solid.
Step 3: Baking
- When ready to use, bake the frozen cheese puffs at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese will puff and turn golden.
