Mixing and Shaping
- In a medium bowl, combine the 1 pound softened cream cheese, ¾ cup ranch dressing, 1 tbsp chopped chives, ½ tsp paprika, ½ tsp seasoning salt, and optional ½ tsp onion salt.
- Mix with a spatula or an electric mixer on low speed until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Shape the mixture into a ball. For easier handling, you can chill the mixture for 30 minutes before shaping.
- Spread the approx. 1 cup chopped walnuts or parsley on a plate and roll the cheese ball in the coating until it is covered on all sides.
