Instructions

Step 1: Prep & Sauté

  1. In a skillet, fry the 6 slices bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon, drain on paper towels, and crumble; set aside, reserving a small amount of bacon fat in the skillet.
  2. Sauté the 1/2 cup onion in the reserved bacon fat until soft and translucent.

Step 2: Combine & Bake

  1. In a large baking dish, combine the sautéed 1/2 cup onion, 1 can green beans, 1 can yellow beans, 1 can baked beans, and 1 can lima beans.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tsp salt, and 1 1/2 tbsp dry mustard until smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the beans and stir gently to combine.
  4. Bake uncovered at 325°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes until bubbling and slightly caramelized around the edges.
  5. Top with the crumbled 6 slices bacon before serving.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Can be assembled ahead of time (without the bacon topping) and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Add bacon topping just before baking or during the last 15 minutes of baking to keep it crispy.
