2Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
As NeededFlour
To TasteSalt and Pepper
1 tablespoon per layerButter
As NeededMilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F - 375°F.
  2. In a well-buttered baking pan, place a single layer of thinly sliced potatoes.
  3. Lightly sprinkle the layer with flour, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dot the layer with butter (about 1 tablespoon, placed in each corner).
  5. Continue creating layers of potatoes and seasonings.
  6. Do not flour the top layer.
  7. Pour milk over the potatoes until the dish is about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for less than one hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
