Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour until smooth.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth and thickened.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in cheese, salt, and pepper until cheese is melted.
- Grease a baking dish
- Layer thinly sliced potatoes in the dish.
- Pour cheese sauce over potatoes, and ensure that potatoes are evenly coated.
- Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender.
