A simple but flavorful side dish. A package of wild rice is simmered with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and Kitchen Bouquet, then finished with a rich fold of sour cream.

MeasurementsIngredients
1/2 med.Onion, sliced
1-2 oz. canMushrooms, drained
1 T.Butter
2 1/4 c.Water
1 T.Catsup
1/2 tsp.Kitchen Bouquet
1 (6oz.) pkg.Wild Rice
1/2 C.Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion & mushrooms in butter.
  2. Add water, catsup, and Kitchen Bouquet.
  3. Stir in contents of pkg. of wild rice.
  4. Bring to boil, cover, boil gently 22 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in 1/2 Cup dairy sour cream just before serving.
