MeasurementsIngredients
2/3 cupFirmly packed Brown Sugar
2/3 cupPineapple Juice (fresh if possible)
1/4 cupWhite Vinegar
1 teaspoonCatsup (Ketchup)
1 teaspoon plusSoy Sauce
1 dashGarlic Salt (optional)
2 tablespoonsCornstarch
1/4 cupWater

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix the brown sugar, pineapple juice, white vinegar, catsup, soy sauce, and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. In a small bowl, make a slurry by diluting the cornstarch with water.
  4. Thicken the boiling sauce with the cornstarch slurry to your desired consistency.
  5. Cook for one more minute after adding the cornstarch.
