| 3 Tablespoon | Cornstarch |
| 1 Cup | Sugar |
| 2 Tablespoon | Grated Lemon Rind |
| 1/4 Cup | Lemon Juice |
| 1/4 Cup | Margarine |
| 2 Cups | Water |
| 1/4 Teaspoon | Salt |
Instructions
- Combine cornstarch, sugar, lemon peel, and salt in a 1-quart saucepan.
- Add water slowly.
- Stir over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat, add lemon juice and margarine.
Note
Makes 3 cups. Serve on plain cake, gingerbread, and fruit cobbler.
