Instructions

Step 1: Preparation and Bounding

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine 3/4 c. flour, 1 tsp pepper, and 1/4 tsp salt.
  2. Cut 1 round steak into serving pieces; dredge in the flour mixture.
  3. In a skillet, brown the steak in 2 tbsp margarine (or butter), then transfer to a slow cooker.

Step 2: Slow Cooking

  1. Combine remaining ingredients including 1 can cream of celery soup, 1 1/3 c. water, 1 c. sliced celery, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1 minced garlic clove, and 1-3 tsp bouillon granules, and pour over the steak.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pierced with a fork.

💡 Make-Ahead & Storage: Assemble the meat and vegetables in the slow cooker insert the night before and refrigerate; cook on low the following day.
