| 3 Tablespoons | Vinegar |
| 1 Tablespoon | Cornstarch |
| 1/2 Cup | Water (for sauce) |
Instructions
- Combine 2 cups water, ribs, soy sauce, and salt in a pan.
- Bring to a boil; turn heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
- Add 1 teaspoon sugar (for ribs) and sherry.
- Turn heat high and continue cooking until most of the liquid evaporates.
- Take out as much oil as possible.
- Blend sauce ingredients: 3 tablespoons sugar, vinegar, cornstarch, and 1/2 cup water.
- Pour sauce slowly over ribs.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
- Serves 4.
- Also: instead of spareribs, you can use cut chicken wings.
