As NeededLeftover cooked Meat (e.g., roast beef), chopped
As NeededLeftover cooked Potatoes, chopped
As NeededOnions, chopped
As NeededButter
As NeededLeftover Gravy (any type)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and brown the chopped onions first.
  2. Add any available gravy to the skillet and heat through.
  3. Add the chopped leftover meat and cooked potatoes.
  4. Cook, turning and pressing down occasionally, until the hash is heated through and browned to your liking.

Note

The original recipe simply says to “try & keep turning.” For a crispier hash, press the mixture down into the pan and let it brown well before turning.
