For the Meatloaf:
1 1/2 poundsGround Beef
1/2 cupFresh Bread Crumbs
1Onion, chopped
1Egg, beaten
1 1/2 teaspoonsSalt
1/4 teaspoonPepper
2 cupsTomato Sauce (divided)
For the Barbecue Topping:
1/3 cupWater
3 tablespoonsVinegar
3 tablespoonsBrown Sugar
2 tablespoonsPrepared Mustard
2 teaspoonsWorcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, beaten egg, salt, pepper, and half of the tomato sauce (approximately 1 cup).
  3. Mix well and place the mixture into the prepared loaf pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining tomato sauce with the water, vinegar, brown sugar, prepared mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to create the topping.
  5. Pour the topping sauce over the meatloaf in the pan.
  6. Bake for 1 hour.
