A flavorful stovetop veal dish. A large veal steak is sautéed and simmered until tender, then topped with a savory sauce of ham, fresh mushrooms, and lemon.

MeasurementsIngredients
1 TSalad Oil
1 (1 1/2 lb)Veal Steak
1/2 tSalt
1/2 tPepper
1 1/2 tBottled Garlic Spread
1 cCooked Ham cubes
2 cFresh Mushrooms
1 TLemon Juice
1 tGrated Lemon Peel

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle steak with salt & pepper.
  2. Sauté in hot oil.
  3. Spread garlic spread over top of veal.
  4. Add 2 T water to skillet, cover tightly, then simmer over low heat 45m or until veal is tender.
  5. Uncover veal, pour off drippings - add water to make 2/3 c. return to skillet.
  6. Add ham cubes & mushroom slices, then cook 5m, turning occasionally.
  7. Remove steak to heated platter.
  8. To mixture in skillet add lemon juice then spoon it over steak.
  9. Sprinkle with grated peel.
