A flavorful stovetop veal dish. A large veal steak is sautéed and simmered until tender, then topped with a savory sauce of ham, fresh mushrooms, and lemon.

| Measurements | Ingredients |

| 1 T | Salad Oil |
| 1 (1 1/2 lb) | Veal Steak |
| 1/2 t | Salt |
| 1/2 t | Pepper |
| 1 1/2 t | Bottled Garlic Spread |
| 1 c | Cooked Ham cubes |
| 2 c | Fresh Mushrooms |
| 1 T | Lemon Juice |
| 1 t | Grated Lemon Peel |
Instructions
- Sprinkle steak with salt & pepper.
- Sauté in hot oil.
- Spread garlic spread over top of veal.
- Add 2 T water to skillet, cover tightly, then simmer over low heat 45m or until veal is tender.
- Uncover veal, pour off drippings - add water to make 2/3 c. return to skillet.
- Add ham cubes & mushroom slices, then cook 5m, turning occasionally.
- Remove steak to heated platter.
- To mixture in skillet add lemon juice then spoon it over steak.
- Sprinkle with grated peel.
