8 OuncesUncooked Noodles
1 PoundGround Beef
1 TablespoonFat or Oil
2 Cans (8 Ounces each)Tomato Sauce
1/2 PoundCottage Cheese
1 Package (8 Ounces)Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 CupCommercial Sour Cream
1/3 CupMinced Onion
1 TablespoonMinced Green Pepper
2 TablespoonsMelted Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a casserole dish.
  2. Cook & drain noodles according to package directions.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef in fat; drain. Stir in the tomato sauce.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, minced onion, and minced green pepper. Mix well.
  5. In the casserole dish, create layers:
    • Half of the noodles.
    • Half of the meat sauce.
    • All of the cheese mixture.
    • The remaining noodles.
    • The remaining meat sauce.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
  7. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.

Serves 8. This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
