Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground meat. Add the chili powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped onion. Cook until the meat is done and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Heat salad oil in another pan. Briefly dip the tortillas in the hot oil, one by one, to soften them (about 30-60 seconds). Drain on paper towels.
  4. Fill each softened tortilla with the meat mixture and roll it up.
  5. Place the rolled tortillas seam-side down in the baking dish.
  6. In a small saucepan, heat the tomato sauce to boiling. Add 1 can of water and mix.
  7. Pour the tomato sauce mixture over the rolled tortillas.
  8. Top with grated cheese.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes.
