Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease an 11x13 inch baking dish.
  2. For the Sauce: In a saucepan, mix the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, taco sauce, chopped green chilies, and milk. Warm over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. For the Meat: In a separate skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion. Drain any excess fat.
  4. To Assemble: Layer the ingredients in the greased dish as follows:
    • A thin layer of sauce.
    • Half of the torn tortillas.
    • Half of the meat mixture.
    • Half of the remaining sauce.
    • The rest of the tortillas.
    • The rest of the meat mixture.
    • The rest of the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, or until hot and bubbly.
