Recipe
| Measurements | Ingredients |
|---|---|
| 1 1/4 cups | Confectioners Sugar, sifted |
| 1/8 teaspoon | Cream of Tartar |
| 1 | Egg White |
Instructions
- In a small, clean bowl, combine the sifted confectioners’ sugar, cream of tartar, and egg white.
- Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until blended.
- Increase the mixer speed to high and beat until the frosting is very stiff (a knife drawn through it should leave a clean path).
- Use immediately for decorating.
Note
This frosting dries out very quickly when exposed to air. Always keep the bowl and any piping tips covered with a damp cloth to prevent hardening.
Warning
This recipe contains a raw egg white. For those with health concerns, consider using pasteurized egg whites or meringue powder as a substitute.
