CupCoconut
2 TablespoonsMargarine or Butter
CupCanned Milk (Evaporated) or Regular Milk

Instructions

  1. As soon as your cake is baked, prepare the frosting.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, margarine, and milk. Heat and stir until the ingredients are melted and dissolved.
  3. Stir in the coconut. If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk.
  4. Pour and spread the frosting over the hot cake.
  5. Return the cake to the oven (or place it under the broiler) for 5-7 minutes, or until the frosting is bubbly and glazed. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

Warning

This type of frosting can go from bubbly to burnt very quickly under heat. Watch it closely during the final 5-7 minutes in the oven.
