Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve one package of strawberry jello in one and a half cups of hot water.
- Add one pint of vanilla ice cream by the spoonful and stir until it is completely melted.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 15-25 minutes, or until it has thickened but is not fully set.
- Gently fold in one cup of drained, sliced strawberries.
- Pour the filling into a baked and cooled pie shell.
- Chill the pie for at least 2 hours, or until the filling is firm.
- Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
