1 barDark Chocolate (e.g., Hershey’s, approx 4 oz)
CupTap Water
1 (9-inch)Baked Pie Shell

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate over low heat until smooth.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and becomes “lumpy.”
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and immediately stir in the tap water until the mixture is smooth again.
  4. Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie shell.
  5. Chill for several hours, or until the filling is completely set.
  6. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving, if desired.
