1 lb.Granny Smith Apples - peeled & sliced
1/4 CupRaisins
1 Small canFrozen Concentrated Apple Juice, thawed
4 oz. (1/2 cup)Heavy Cream
2 TbspCornstarch
2 TbspCinnamon
1 recipe for a double9-inch Pie Crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Arrange the apple slices in the bottom pie crust and sprinkle the raisins over the slices.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the thawed apple juice concentrate, heavy cream, cornstarch, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour this mixture over the apples and raisins.
  5. Place the top crust on the pie, seal and crimp the edges, and cut a few slits for steam to escape.
  6. Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes.
  7. Reduce the heat to 350°F and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.
