1 (6 ounce) packageLime Jello
1 (8 ounce) packagePhiladelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1 large canPears, halved (juice reserved)
1 jarMaraschino Cherries
1 teaspoonOil

Instructions

  1. Lightly oil a jello mold.
  2. Prepare the Lime Jello according to package directions, but substitute the reserved pear juice for the cold water portion.
  3. Pour about one-third of the Jello into the mold and chill until partially set.
  4. Arrange the pear halves and maraschino cherries in the thickened Jello. Chill until firm.
  5. Allow the remaining Jello (not in the mold) to thicken.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in the remaining thickened Jello until smooth.
  7. Gently pour the cream cheese mixture over the firm fruit layer in the mold.
  8. Refrigerate overnight, or until completely set.

Note

The active cooking time is about 15 minutes, but the salad requires several hours to chill and set properly.
