A classic and beautiful two-layer Jello mold, with a decorative fruit base and a creamy, tangy top layer.

| 1 (6 ounce) package | Lime Jello |
| 1 (8 ounce) package | Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened |
| 1 large can | Pears, halved (juice reserved) |
| 1 jar | Maraschino Cherries |
| 1 teaspoon | Oil |
Instructions
- Lightly oil a jello mold.
- Prepare the Lime Jello according to package directions, but substitute the reserved pear juice for the cold water portion.
- Pour about one-third of the Jello into the mold and chill until partially set.
- Arrange the pear halves and maraschino cherries in the thickened Jello. Chill until firm.
- Allow the remaining Jello (not in the mold) to thicken.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in the remaining thickened Jello until smooth.
- Gently pour the cream cheese mixture over the firm fruit layer in the mold.
- Refrigerate overnight, or until completely set.
Note
The active cooking time is about 15 minutes, but the salad requires several hours to chill and set properly.
