Fruit Layer

1 Large (6 oz) PackageLime Jello (divided)
1 Large CanPears, Drained and Diced
1/2 CupMaraschino Cherries
1 CupMiniature Marshmallows (optional)

Cream Cheese Layer

1 Large (8 oz) PackageCream Cheese, Softened
(Reserved)Liquid Lime Jello

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lime Jello according to package directions. Divide the liquid Jello in half into two separate bowls.
  2. Chill one half of the Jello until partially set. Fold in the drained pears, maraschino cherries, and optional marshmallows. Pour this into a ring mold or serving dish and refrigerate to set.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Gradually beat the remaining, still-liquid Jello into the cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Gently pour the cream cheese mixture over the set fruit layer.
  6. Refrigerate overnight, or until completely firm.
