Cream Cheese Layer

| 1 Large (8 oz) Package | Cream Cheese, Softened |
| (Reserved) | Liquid Lime Jello |
Instructions
- Prepare the Lime Jello according to package directions. Divide the liquid Jello in half into two separate bowls.
- Chill one half of the Jello until partially set. Fold in the drained pears, maraschino cherries, and optional marshmallows. Pour this into a ring mold or serving dish and refrigerate to set.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually beat the remaining, still-liquid Jello into the cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.
- Gently pour the cream cheese mixture over the set fruit layer.
- Refrigerate overnight, or until completely firm.
