A classic dessert mold featuring dark sweet cherries in a rich, cherry-wine gelatin. A simple and elegant dessert, especially good if you stuff the cherries with almonds.

| 1 Cup | Red Wine |

Instructions
- Drain cherries, saving the syrup.
- (Optional: “Very good - stuff cherries with almonds.“)
- Add enough water to the reserved cherry syrup to make 2 1/2 cups of liquid.
- Bring this liquid to a boil.
- Add the boiling liquid to the gelatin, stirring until the gelatin is dissolved.
- Add the red wine.
- Chill the mixture. When it is slightly thickened (like egg whites), add the cherries.
- Pour into a mold and chill until firm.
- Serve with sour cream dressing.
