Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine the apples, 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon. Place the mixture in a greased 9x9 inch pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend together the 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/2 cup oatmeal with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles small peas.
  4. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 30-45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the top is lightly browned.
  6. Serve hot with ice cream or whipped cream.
