Three BasketsFresh Strawberries
One EnvelopeGelatin (Unflavored)
One or TwoLemons (Juice of)
CupSugar
Cup + 2 TbspWater

Instructions

  1. Wash, trim, and puree the strawberries.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the lemon juice and let it soften for 5 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, boil the sugar and water for 5 minutes to create a syrup.
  4. Add the softened gelatin to the hot syrup and stir until dissolved.
  5. Once the syrup has cooled, stir in the strawberry puree.
  6. Freeze the mixture until solid.
  7. Remove from the freezer, break into chunks, and beat with a mixer until fluffy.
  8. Return to the freezer and freeze again until firm.
