Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and your choice of cinnamon or nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, combine the 1 cup of sugar and the cooking oil.
- Add the eggs to the oil mixture one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
- Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients all at once and beat until a smooth dough forms.
- Pour the additional granulated sugar for coating into a small, shallow bowl.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll each ball in the sugar to coat completely.
- Place the coated balls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
