1 cupRaisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the shortening and sugar together with an electric mixer. Add the beaten eggs and mix well.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. In a small bowl, toss the raisins with about a tablespoon of the flour mixture to coat them.
  5. On low speed, add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. By hand, stir in the oats and the flour-coated raisins.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
