Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease your cookie sheets.
- In a large bowl, cream the shortening and brown sugar together with an electric mixer. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- In a separate medium bowl, sift or whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- On low speed, add half of the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix.
- Beat in the milk until combined, then add the remaining dry ingredients and mix well.
- By hand, stir in the oats and raisins.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
