A rich, brownie-like bar cookie loaded with finely chopped pecans. These are baked in a square pan lined with waxed paper and cut into small squares while warm.

MeasurementsIngredients
1 ozChocolate
1/4 CButter
2 LargeEggs
1 CSugar
1/4 tSalt
1 1/2 tVanilla
1/4 CMilk
1 CFlour
1 CPecans, chopped fine

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate + butter together - mix well.
  2. Beat eggs until light & lemon colored, then gradually beat in sugar.
  3. Stir in salt, vanilla, milk.
  4. Gradually add flour. Stir in pecans.
  5. Line a buttered 8x8x2 pan with wax paper. Butter paper.
  6. Bake 350° - 30 m.
  7. Cut into 1 1/2” squares before removing from pan.
  8. Store in tightly covered container.
