Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and flour. Mix with a pastry blender or your hands until a crumbly dough forms.
- Press this mixture firmly and evenly into an ungreased 10x15 inch jelly roll pan to form the crust.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the oven. Immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the hot base. Let them sit for 3-5 minutes to melt.
- Use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate into a smooth, even layer.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the melted chocolate.
- While the bars are still warm, cut them into 1 ½ inch squares. Let them cool completely in the pan before removing.
