A rich chocolate fudge loaded with candied fruits. This vintage recipe features chopped cherries, pineapple, figs, raisins, and coconut folded into a smooth chocolate base.

| 2 sq. | Unsweetened Chocolate |
| 3/4 c. | Milk |
| 2 c. | Sugar |
| Dash | Salt |
| 2 Tbsp. | Butter |
| 1 tsp. | Vanilla |
| 1/4 c. | Chopped Candied Cherries |
| 1/4 c. | Chopped Candied Pineapple |
| 1/4 c. | Chopped Dried Figs |
| 1/4 c. | Chopped Seedless Raisins |
| 1/4 c. | Shredded Coconut |
Instructions
- Add chocolate to milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth & blended.
- Add sugar & salt, stir until sugar is dissolved & mixture boils.
- Continue boiling, without stirring, to 232°F or until a small amount of the mixture forms a very soft ball in cold water.
- Remove from heat.
- Add butter & vanilla. Cool to lukewarm.
- Beat until mixture begins to thicken & loses its gloss.
- Add fruits & coconut, turn at once into greased 8x4x3 in. loaf pan.
- When fudge is cold, cut into squares. (Yields 18 large squares).
