A magical self-saucing pudding cake from a recipe by Moonlite. A simple cake batter is poured over a chocolate liquid, and as it bakes, it transforms into a tender cake on top with a rich, hot fudge sauce on the bottom.

| 1 box | Betty Crocker Devil’s Food Cake Mix or Yellow Cake Mix |
| 1 cup | Brown Sugar |
| 1/2 cup | Cocoa Powder |

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Prepare the cake mix batter according to the directions on the box and set it aside.
- In an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan, combine the brown sugar, cocoa powder, and hot water. Whisk until the sugar and cocoa are dissolved.
- Gently pour the prepared cake batter over the liquid mixture in the pan. Do not stir.
- Carefully place the pan in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes. The cake is done when the top springs back when lightly touched.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before serving. To serve, spoon portions of the cake and the rich chocolate sauce from the bottom of the pan into bowls.
Note
This is a self-saucing pudding cake. The liquid layer at the bottom creates a rich chocolate sauce as it bakes. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
