Instructions

  1. Prepare Components: Bake your favorite three-layer chocolate cake and allow the layers to cool completely. Prepare the sweetened whipped cream by beating heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  2. Assemble Layer 1: Place the bottom cake layer on your serving plate. Peel and arrange whole bananas on top, leaving a little space between them.
  3. Cover the bananas and the entire first layer with a generous amount of whipped cream.
  4. Assemble Layer 2: Carefully place the second layer of cake on top. Cover this layer with just whipped cream.
  5. Finish: Place the third (top) layer of the cake on top. Frost the entire cake—top and sides—with the remaining whipped cream.
  6. Decorate the top with shaved chocolate, if desired. Keep refrigerated.
