12 to 18Cheese Blintzes, frozen
1/4 pound (1 stick)Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Melt the butter and pour it into the bottom of a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
  3. Arrange the frozen blintzes in a single layer on top of the melted butter.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend the eggs, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, salt, and optional orange juice. Beat well.
  5. Pour the sour cream mixture evenly over the blintzes.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with desired toppings such as powdered sugar, fresh strawberries, or extra sour cream.

Note

For a smaller batch using 6 to 8 blintzes, cut all other ingredients in half and use a smaller baking dish (such as an 8x8 pan).
