A traditional, warming Yogi Tea recipe. This naturally caffeine-free beverage is made by boiling whole spices like peppercorns, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and fresh ginger in water.

Instructions
- To a medium saucepan, add the quart of water, black peppercorns, the contents of the cardamom pods, whole cloves, ginger root slices, and crumbled cinnamon sticks.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
- Optional: If you’d like a caffeinated version, add the black tea during the last few minutes of simmering.
- Carefully strain the tea through a fine-mesh sieve into mugs.
- Serve the tea plain, or stir in honey, lemon juice, milk, or cream to your liking.
