A wonderfully refreshing and frothy tropical drink. The process of freezing, blending, and straining creates a light “crush” texture.

2Bananas, mashed
1/4 C.Orange juice
1/4 C.Lemon Juice
2 C.Pineapple Juice
1 Can (20 oz)Crushed Pineapple
OptionalLight Rum (1 oz. per glass)
6Sticks fresh or canned Pineapple (for garnish)
6Mint Sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, orange juice, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and crushed pineapple.
  2. Freeze the mixture until it is slushy.
  3. Transfer the slushy mixture to a blender and blend until it becomes frothy.
  4. Strain the mixture, pressing as much juice through the strainer as possible.
  5. Chill the strained liquid thoroughly.
  6. Stir the drink before serving.
  7. Pour into six 8oz glasses. If desired, add 1 oz. of light rum to each glass.
  8. Garnish each glass with a pineapple stick and a sprig of mint.
