MeasurementsIngredients
1 shot (1.5 oz)Tequila
4-5 ozOrange Juice
½ shot (0.75 oz)Grenadine
As neededIce

Instructions

  1. Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice.
  2. Add one shot of tequila.
  3. Fill the glass almost to the top with orange juice and stir briefly.
  4. Slowly pour the half shot of grenadine over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass. It will sink to the bottom.
  5. Do not mix; allow the grenadine to settle and create the layered “sunrise” effect.
  6. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry, if you like.
